Only 4 percent of all the containers that come into this country are inspected. That is not good.
We are using United Nations standards to secure those containers that are inspected. That is bad because even my dog knows that the United Nations only does one thing well, besides steal money, and that is refugee relief. They have no business in this at all.
So, what brilliant thing did the clowns running Home Land Security do now, as if screwing up Katrina relief was not enough? They have turned over security for six of this nation’s seaports to a company owned by the government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Just so we all understand this situation, the UAE has been implicated in the 9/11 plot and since has been sighted by the 9/11 Commission as complicit in the War on Terror. The UAE is not a country that we can easily monitor goings on in or easily get access to records. Hell, you would probably have trouble getting a copy of the phone book from there. So of course, we want to turn over already unprotected US Sea Ports to a country in the Middle East?
I know; how about we turn over US Beef Production to North Korea? How about we let Al-Qaeda run our telephone system? This whole situation just keeps getting worse.
You "wing nuts" can come pat me on the head and tell me, “It’s OK. We put classified conditions in the contract that have to be followed. Trust us; we know what we are doing." But this is one time, even you cannot blame Clinton. He was an ass-grabbing-wussy-boy for sure. And but even he did not give United States Port Security over to another country let alone one in the Middle East that is tied to terrorists. Clinton has been gone for 5 years, so tell me, who owns this colossal mistake?
I don’t usually do politics. Politics gets in the way of us fighting this War on Terror. It distracts us from doing things that will keep us safe. I do not care if Cheney shot the guys’ arm off (but hello, all you gun experts-- HE WHO PULLS THE TRIGGER OWNS WHERE THE PELLETS GO), although I got to tell ya, blaming the guy who was shot was amazing to watch, but in this War on Terror, when the politicians from either side do something so stupid as putting a company with ties to terrorists in charge of Port Security, even I get to comment.

Your comment on Clinton not ever giving port security over to another country is simply not true. WHo do you think runs several of our major ports ont he west coast? Yes my dear it is CHINA, one of the biggest human rights violators there is, CLinton also gave them "preferred" trade status, which did nothing more than further increase the trade deficit between the US and China. I would not try edifying CLinton and them bashing Bush for doing essentially the same thing. China is no friend to the US either.

Col. Hunt
Since what you said about Homeless Security is true, why are the American people asleep at the wheel? We can not enforce the borders,we might piss people off. When the next terrorist attack happens dont blame Homeland Security (at least not all)some off us would love to do our jobs and go hunt everyone down. Politicans and bean counters in upper management will not let us. Let's not forget that California politicans listen to Pres. Fox and the Illegals and not there own citizens. I tell you what put me in charge and give me a hunting licence.

Let me play devils advocate for a moment and say that 100% of all cargo imports are inspects at our borders and ports of entry on our coast lines.
Without absolutely securing all the nearly 15,000 miles of our land borders and sea coasts can anyone think much less actually believe that container inspection will make this nation even a teensy bit safer from attack by well trained, well equipped, determined terrorists?
Since in another life I used to be into the sneak in to nations business for the U S Government it makes me roll with laughter when I hear people talk about building a fence the entire length of the U S/Mexico border some fourteen hundred miles plus long.
A fence, A. Can be climbed over or tunneled under...the North Korean's tunnel under the 38th parallel fence like little moles
digging tunnels tanks can drive through. B. A fence on the U S/Mexico would be cute but circumventable right up to the Texas border and the Rio Grande River...well I guess a floating fence could be erected down the middle of the deepest parts of the river and those two big ole miles and miles long lakes named Falcon and Amastad LOL.
I suppose I shouldn't mention the hundreds and hundreds of miles ofabsolutely unprotected coast lines, and the rivers and estuaries that flow into the oceans and Gulf of Mexico.
What needs to be done as well as the obvious being done now, is to think like a terrorist and and opine, "What route would I take to do harm to the U S A?" Since I WAS in that business it wasn't hard at all to come up with a dozen different scenarios about how to enter the U S with paid off assistance and all but unnoticed.
In fact I wrote a terse, not filled with useless boring details book published August 2004 entitled "OSAMA-His Loathing of Infidels that lays out just one way to do the dirty deed.
Instead of being cited for thinking outside the box and thinking ahead, the first citation I received after the book was published was to be accused of writing a primer for terrorists to use....like a trained terrorist couldn't and hasn't come up with the same or similar idea on his own.
Yes. Yes. We do need every piece of cargo being imported into the U S A thoroughly inspected.
But even more important is, that we need absolute border security even if it means we have to use extreme prejudice that leaves a nasty taste in our mouths....but better a nasty taste than being dead and not caring about taste, or breathing or anything.
The hell of 911 created by terrorist is the bane and dread the boys at the Pentagon have dreaded since the first A bomb was dropped by the Russians.
Iran doesn't have to make a nuclear device...they have probably already purchased one or more easy to transport and disguise 4th or 5th generation nuclear weapons and ya have to believe that the Iranian government knows that should they actually use a nuke or even have it thought they used a nuke that Iran would be turned into a huge irradiated pool of glass by all but one or two nations that owns nukes; the U S and Israel most definitely would.
For anyone interested enough, my book can be purchased on line in new and used condition at:
