"all dogs go to heaven".....

..... I had to perform CPR and mouth to nose resuscitation on a 5-week old puppy this weekend but could not save her.  I worked on her for about 20 minutes but to no avail...so I held her and rocked her for an hour after she passed. 

There are some things in life I just don't understand but there is one thing I do know....all dogs do go to heaven.

The Pet Peeve of the Week is "Typepad." They suck. Yesterday they were down three times, the trackbacks are all messed up and when you complain they say it is to protect us from SPAM. Well, SPAM THIS!

Actually, it is more a story of the day.

Sunday, I brought home two lobsters, let them crawl around in the sink while the water boiled. The kids were fascinated. My daughter, Kaileigh named them. When it was time, we said good-bye to Kaileigh and Jodi (Kaileigh the lobster, I didn't boil my daughter) and I cooked them. Kaileigh cried--for a looooonnnnggg time. Finally, through sniffles she said to me, "...but they'll always be with me, right Mommy? In my heart..." And my eight year old son said, "No. In your stomach..."

The Word or Phrase of the Day is "Hurricaned Out" or how about "Hurricane Weary" better yet "Hurricane Exhausted." It is self-explanatory. I'm done. Except now, Wilma is on its way. She is stopping by to see Lisa and then she is coming to visit me.

And if that isn't enough...Lisa's husband just got home yesterday from spending three weeks in Texas due to Katrina and Rita and will probably be turning around and heading to Florida because of Wilma.

Stick a fork in us baby...the Babes are done.

Riding in the truck with me....catching up on things.... my mother exclaimed:

"Well, I had a colonoscopy and a car accident in the same week and they were both a pain in the ass."

I then proceeded to wipe the coffee from my face that spewed out of my nose.

Pet Peeve

My Pet Peeve this week is "high heels." Only women would be stupid enough to shove their feet into pointy, narrow vices and then balance on little tiny sticks all to make their legs better looking to men. There ought to be a law against them as some kind of torture device...
